TWITR: Blog About Twitter

blackboard cuny from play.google.comtwitter from itunes.apple.comIn my own opinion, both provides networking services which allows users to interact, contribute and share ideas; however, we can say "Blackboard" is more formal, as compared to twitter. Because "blackboard" is built on educational platform, you need to be a bo-nafide student of CUNY colleges in order to have access. Twitter is free to everyone; although, you would still have to sign up before you can use it..Also, due to the nature of 'blackboard', contents are somewhat controlled because none of the Professors would ever allow informal languages or sharing of pictures that are against CUNY policies. However on twitter, it's all about freedom of expression but at individual's discretion. Lastly, in terms for convenience, twitter offer better platform because from one page, you can virtually do almost everything. You can see your followers, comments, reply, new trends and even who to follow. Blackboard don't have that IM (Instant messaging) capability.

  1. I wrote about how Blackboard is a lot more formal than Twitter in my blog post about Twitter as well! The posts between our "About Me's" on BlackBoard and our discussions with one another on Twitter prove how different we all interact with one another depending on the communication platform we are on.
